Every day in America’s shelters, nearly 5,500 dogs and cats are killed, simply because they don’t have safe places to call home. Best Friends Animal Society’s goal is to work together to reduce that number to zero.

Strut Your Mutt brings together people from all across the country to raise money to save the lives of homeless pets. Participants can choose to raise money for Best Friends or for one of the hundreds of participating shelters, rescue groups or other animal welfare groups.

Every year, hundreds of shelters, rescue groups and animal welfare groups take part in Strut Your Mutt to raise the money needed to save more lives. For many partners, the money raised during Strut Your Mutt makes up most of their funding for the entire year!
