Dog Day Getaway Legal Waiver

I understand that I am responsible for any harm caused by my dog while my dog is attending Dog Day Getaway, Inc. I shall indemnify and hold harmless Dog Day Getaway, Inc. and its owners, Nicole Boe and Carey Rice, against any and all claims made against Dog Day Getaway, Inc. or its owners and any losses or damages of any kind suffered by Dog Day Getaway, Inc. or its owners as a result of my failure to inform Dog Day Getaway, Inc. of any pre-existing condition the dog may have (such as illness or aggression problems). I understand and agree that in admitting my dog to Dog Day Getaway, Inc., the facility has relied upon my representation that my dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog.

I understand that Dog Day Getaway, Inc. is fully insured. I understand and agree that Dog Day Getaway, Inc., and its owners Nicole Boe and Carey Rice will not be liable for problems, damage or injury caused by my dog provided reasonable care and precautions are followed by daycare staff. I, as the owner, agree to be solely responsible for any and all acts or behavior of my pet while in the care of Dog Day Getaway, Inc.

I understand that the Dog Day Getaway, Inc. facility is a place where animals co-mingle in groups and recognize that there are inherent risks when dealing with animals. I do also understand if my dog is 15 pounds or under these risks are significantly higher. I do hereby waive and release Dog Day Getaway, Inc., Nicole Boe and Carey Rice from any and all liability of any nature. This includes any injury, death, sickness or damage my pet may suffer during or after daycare or being boarded.

I understand my dog may be placed in a bedroom for “time outs” or if injured. I understand that when dogs play in groups, nicks and scratches or possible injury may occur. Daycare staff may or may not notify me immediately. If the injury is not serious, staff may feel it is acceptable to leave the dog until the end of the day and let me know about it when I pick up the dog. If the injury is serious, I will be notified immediately.

If my pet should become ill or seem to be in need of medical attention, Dog Day Getaway, Inc. reserves the right to take any and all action necessary to secure the well-being and health of my pet including any medical attention deemed necessary. Either my veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinarian will be contacted in the event of a medical problem that is serious in nature. I agree to reimburse Dog Day Getaway, Inc. for any expenses incurred in securing the well-being and health of my pet(s). In addition, I, the owner, will be held liable for paying all incurred veterinarian bills.

I understand that if my dog is left at the Dog Day Getaway, Inc. facility for a period of three days without contact from the owner, this dog will be considered abandoned and necessary steps will be taken to turn the animal over to the proper authorities.

I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dog Day Getaway, Inc., Nicole Boe and Carey Rice from any and all claims due to any damage the pet may cause to any family members or any third parties during or after daycare or overnight boarding.

In the event that Dog Day Getaway, Inc., Nicole Boe and Carey Rice, deem it necessary to employ legal counsel to protect their rights under this agreement, the owner/agent of the dog agrees to pay all expenses incurred by Dog Day Getaway, Inc., Nicole Boe and Carey Rice to enforce their rights under this agreement, including but not limited to costs and reasonable attorney’s fees.

DDG Policies

All dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered.

Only pets that have been fully vaccinated will be allowed at DDG. Vaccines include Distemper, Bordetella and Rabies. The Bordetella vaccine is to help prevent kennel cough. Kennel cough is basically dog bronchitis. It is very common and quite contagious when many dogs are housed together under one roof.

A flea and tick preventative is also required along with a heartworm preventative.

Overnight, dogs are separated into individual bedrooms. This is where they are fed and given some peace for a good nights sleep. Crates maybe used for dogs that can jump out of the bedrooms or for dogs that are too destructive. Please do not bring any dog beds.

To ensure safety while at play, all dogs playing/staying in our facility are required to have on a break away collar; no buckle or martingale collars are allowed. If an owner fails to comply with this rule DDG will provide a breakaway collar at the owner’s expense in order to ensure the safety of the group.

Behaviors that are not tolerated are excessive marking or humping and aggressive behavior toward other dogs in the playgroup or towards the staff members. DDG reserves the right to turn away animals that behavior/temperament is considered unacceptable.

Holiday Reservations and Costs

All holiday reservations, including MEA & Spring Break, requires a 50% deposit. This is only refundable with a 7 day cancellation notice. After 7 days no refunds or credits will be given.

Though we are staffed to care for your dogs, our lobby is closed on Thanksgiving & Christmas Day.
