Congratulations, Penny! This beautiful Lab acts more like a cat than a dog! Have you ever met a lab that didn’t like water or playing fetch?
We had so much fun learning about this sweet & playful girl!
How did you pick her name?
We took her home after taking our children to their first Iowa football game, where the Hawkeyes upset Penn State.
When is her birthday?
August 2nd.
What is her breed?
She is a Yellow lab.
Does she have any nicknames?
Penn-Dawg, Penado, Penn-Penn, Penny Mango.
What are her favorite places to be scratched?
Her butt, all day long.
What is she most afraid of?
Her reflection in the window at night.
Can you describe her in 3 words?
Playful, snuggly, and independent.
But what if she was human……
If she had a profession, what would it be?
Rodent or small mammal exterminator.
If she drove a car, what would she drive?
She would have a chauffeur so she could focus on sleep not driving.
If she could eat any human food, what would it be?
Ice cream or popcorn.
Does she prefer chicken or steak?
She will take whatever she can get.

Does she prefer her Mama or is she a bigger fan of Dad?
She loves her mom but enjoys rough-housing with her dad.
What is the naughtiest thing she has ever done?
She jumped our fence to chase down vermin.
Does she prefer the floor, the dog bed, the couch, or all of the above?
The floor in the sunshine, on top of the air vent, or in her dog bed.
Does she prefer a good snuggle or an energetic wrestling session?
She will love both.
What is her favorite toy?
Her frisbee.

She prefers a run, but shhhh! We don’t say that out loud.

What is your favorite thing to do with her?
Her brothers like to hit tennis balls to her in the backyard.
What does a day in her life look like?
Leisurely gets out of bed, plays frisbee with Mom, hangs out at DDG, plays baseball with her brothers, naps, and wrestles with Dad.
What is one thing you would change about her?
We wish she could wipe her own dirty paws.

Luna.

Drop! That’s not yours.
What is her favorite thing about DDG?
All the smells!

We often feel Penny is more cat-like than dog. She stalks like a lioness, loves laying in the sun, and rubs up against our legs to be petted. She doesn’t love fetch or the water.
